Ancestor Birth (BW, Original, Botched)

Ancestor Birth is a piece that is near and dear to my heart. Its means something different to each viewer. For me it symbolizes the very real connection we have to our ancestors when bringing descendants into this world. It is the connection I felt to my Mother, my Mother's Mother and her Mother and so forth backwards. It is in honor to the matrilineal line and all the Mothers before us that made it possible for us to be here together.

Original linocut print on plain background. Full page measures 6”x 8”. The print will be shipped in plastic, with cardboard for stability. Each print is a little different as the ink takes to paper differently.

This print is considered "botched" that could mean the lino was placed cattywompus on the paper and it may not be straight, issue with the ink blending, the page being crumpled or any other issue with the print that I am not comfortable selling it for full price.
